August 11, 2026          Board of Director Meeting at 10:00, in the Norbeck Room.

September 8, 2026             ProgramLive Animal Presentation and Slideshow

The Rossmoor Camera Club (RCC) will jointly present a live animal show and African Safari slide show to Camera Club Members,  Leisure World residents and guests on Tuesday evening, September 8th from 6:00pm to about 9:00pm, in Clubhouse 1. The event will begin on the Lanai then move indoors in CH I.

Admission is $10.00 payable by check to Rossmoor Camera Club.  Registration begins on Tuesday, August 11 by stopping by or calling the Lifestyle Office in either Clubhouse. Space is limited to the first 150 reservations, so be sure to register soon! Pizza, non-alcoholic drinks and desserts are included in the ticket price.

The event is co-sponsored by RCC, Rotary Club of LW, Resnet of LW and the Purple Martin Birding Club. For additional information text Howard Kramer at 908-966-3732 or email him at howard.kramer321@gmail.com.

Echoes of Nature will present a live animal presentation highlighting wildlife native to Maryland. Guests will have the opportunity to meet four live animal ambassadors: a red-tailed hawk, an eastern screech owl, an American kestrel, and a rock pigeon, while learning about their habitats, behaviors, and importance to the local ecosystem.

Then RCC’s own Louis Paley and friend will present stunning images and stories from their recent 5 safari tours in Zambia and Botswana in southern Africa.  Together they will present a glimpse of the southern part of the continent, including its wildlife, other natural wonders and the living conditions there.

This event has been especially organized to both entertain you and to introduce residents to the valuable services provided to you by two of the volunteer service organizations in Leisure World. They are the Residents Network at LW (RESNET), and the Rotary Club of LW.

The Lifestyle Office will register you and collect a ten dollar ($10) admission fee to cover the cost of pizza, non alcoholic drinks, water and dessert. Starting September 11th you may register and pay by check only, made out to the Rossmoor Camera Club.

Let’s all welcome the fall season with these two wildlife presentations and a pizza party to boot!
