Selection of competition subjects for the 2027/2028 competition year

Here is a list of eight competition subjects nominated by the RCC membership and proposed by your club Board of Directors for the 2027/2028 competition year.

1) Abandoned
2) Barns and Rural Non-residential Structures
3) Motion Fast moving or stop motion
4) Patterns
5) Reflections
6) Religious Buildings, interior or exterior
7) Street Photography
8) Wildlife – birds or mammals

Please choose the four subjects you would like to see scheduled and send your choices to Bob Kaplan at robert.kaplan1@gmail.com. Please vote for up-to four (you may vote for 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, but not more than 4).

The subjects chosen by the members from this list will be announced at our annual business meeting and dinner on May 13. Please submit your vote by email to Bob no later than April 30th.

Rossmoor Camera Club End of Year Gala

The Rossmoor Camera Club’s Annual Meeting and End-of-Year Gala will be held on May 13, 2025, in the Maryland Room in Clubhouse 1 starting at 6:00 PM.  We will conduct some important Club business, including the final selection of Competition Subjects for the 2027 – 2028 Club Year, and the election of Club Officers.  The festivities will include a slide show of images from club competitions held this year.  Dinner will be served “Dutch treat”.  

Leisure World Community Fair

Leisure World will hold a “Community Fair” on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 to 1:00. Rossmoor Camera Club had a table at the event last year, and it was well attended by residents. The overall event last year was quite busy with lots of clubs represented and lots of LW residents taking it all in.  If you are interested in helping to staff a table for the Camera Club at this event please contact Blair Blankinship – blair.blankinship@gmail.com
